VE Day 75th Anniversary

27th April 2020

As many VE Day 75th Anniversary events can sadly no longer take place on 8th May, instead Dacorum Borough Council have put together some activities so you celebrate at home. ❤💙🤍

 On the lead up:

🏠 Decorate your homes - Create and display posters and bunting and plan your own 1940’s style party. 🎉 Here's a toolkit to help: click here

On the day:

🥂 Nation's Toast to Heroes of the Second World War at 3pm - Join in and raise a glass from your doorstep!

🛫Watch out for Dacorum's plane with its VE Day banner, which will be flying over the borough as we all toast the Heroes of WW2.

🎶 VE Day Singalong – join in a UK-wide rendition of Dame Vera Lynn’s We’ll Meet Again at 9pm on BBC One. You can find the song words on the British Legion website click here.
